Physical Security
Our Physical security system is strict and uncompromising, ensuring business continuity even in extreme circumstances, maintaining data sovereignty, compliance, and security always.
In designing our facilities, we have considered a wide range of external threats, including malicious sabotage, attempted break-ins, attempts to introduce electronic surveillance and/ or jamming devices, and cyber-attacks. Our facilities are protected by a massive reinforced concrete shell, making the entire site resistant to external blast threats, including direct hits from missiles. Scenarios such as a point-blank hit and an underground explosion close to the wall of the building have also been considered. The facility's dedicated assemblies, both ICT and power, are located 15 meters underground to protect them from such threats.
External area controlled internal area, internal and high-security area. The outer ring comprises the outdoor area including the security fence and central entrance to the controlled indoor area. There, access control systems including key cards, biometric identification, or a combination of several procedures determine which areas each individual person is allowed to enter. All the doors and locks in the data center will only open if the security profile and authorizations are correct. The routes in the data center are clearly predetermined for everyone.
An advanced electrical system has been designed to run to power from the national grid when the civil electrical infrastructure fails. The data center’s autonomy is further enhanced using UPSs and advanced generators in case of an emergency, allowing it to operate independently without relying on external power.
Starting at the feed-in point from the national grid, the electrical system is structured with two independent input channels. An underground electrical cable provides back-up power for the entire installation, and each channel can supply it to ensure stability in any situation.
All the IT equipment, together with the other dedicated equipment and infrastructure, is buried underground, inside a massive reinforced concrete enclosure, protecting it from external threats and making it as secure as possible at all times of the day and night.
The double reinforced concrete enclosure of the underground structure, and the installation's security system (access control and CCTV) are of the highest quality. Our security personnel have been carefully recruited, having passed several qualification stages and tests.
A sophisticated command and control centre has been set up to manage the complex and varied use of systems within the MedOne facilities. From here, all activities can be monitored and controlled according to ongoing needs and scenarios, as our site security measures are taken with the utmost care.
It's no wonder that MedOne is regarded as the most trusted data centre service in Israel.
